You wouldn’t believe how many guys have faked an orgasm before. One 2004 poll out of ABC revealed that 11% of men had faked an orgasm. However, later numbers have proven that that number isn’t telling the whole story: a 2013 survey showed that 22% of men have faked orgasms and admitted to it. Considering the many, many men who probably have never admitted to doing this, these numbers could very well be a lot higher.

This is in stark contrast to women, who’ve only faked orgasms because of drunkenness a whopping six percent of the time.

Some men actually are afraid they have a problem. This problem isn’t always sexual, although the worry men sometimes have about not being fertile is a thing that happens. Some men have trouble orgasming because of health problems, like duct blockages, or might be having reactions to certain medications like Prozac.

Men who are worried about health issues find faking orgasms to be the solution. Faking an orgasm isn’t a solution to their health issue, and they know it. However, faking that orgasm is a way for the man to potentially avoid a conversation they’re uncomfortable having with their partner about their health.

Sometimes an orgasm simply isn’t in the cards. It you’re a woman, doubtless you know how to feels to be in the middle of a sexual encounter, and then realizing that no matter what happens, an orgasm simply isn’t happening at all. Believe it or not, that’s something that can happen to guys too. They fake the orgasm because they know a real one isn’t happening and that way they can finish the encounter.

There are a few ways to tell if a man is faking. If you’re hearing sounds from your male partner that sound really different from what is body is doing, he’s probably faking. When in doubt, if he sounds like a very bad, very loud adult film star, you can reasonably assume that he’s faking.
